The X-Files Returning to FOX TV

The X-Files Returning to FOX TV

The X-Files returns to TV with 6 episodes
The X-Files returns to Fox for a 6 episode limited series event

And it is finally official! After much speculation and 13 years of waiting, Fox announced today that The X-Files will be returning to TV for a 6 episode limited series run. The mega popular show shaped pop culture over 9 seasons spawning two movies, various comic book series, and an unthinkable amount of merchandise.

Debuting on Fox on Friday nights in 1993, The X-Files slowly creeped its way into the mainstream with the rise of the internet, fan boys, message boards and forums. As the show grew in popularity it switched to Sunday nights where it became one of the most watched TV series of all time. The X-Files followed skeptical scientist Dana Scully and the quick to believe Fox Mulder, two FBI agents who are assigned to investigate unsolved...and unexplainable cases. From aliens to ghosts and everything in between, The X-Files featured both stand alone episodes and longer spanning mythology episodes ("mytharc") that grew the overall story.

The X-Files spawned two movies, The X-Files: Fight The Future (pick up Fight The Future on sale at Amazon)- released between seasons 5 & 6 - and The X-Files: I Want To Believe which was released six years after the series finale. Additionally, it spawned "The Lone Gunman" spin-off tv series and was highly connected to the Millennium tv series. Most recently, The X-Files: Season 10 comic book series (check out The X-Files: Season 10, Volume 1 on Amazon), released by IDW Publishing and written by Joe Harris and executive produced by The X-Files creator Chris Carter, has taken The X-Files story even further with it's successful canonical story.

The X-Files limited series will begin filming this summer with Chris Carter writing, directing and producing, stars David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson returning to portray their iconic characters and the promise of more key talent returning. Carter stated, “I think of it as a 13-year commercial break. The good news is the world has only gotten that much stranger, a perfect time to tell these six stories.

Fox Television Group president Gary Newman stated: "We had the privilege of working with Chris on all nine seasons of ‘The X-Files’ — one of the most rewarding creative experiences of our careers — and we couldn’t be more excited to explore that incredible world with him again. ‘The X-Files’ was not only a seminal show for both the studio and the network, it was a worldwide phenomenon that shaped pop culture — yet remained a true gem for the legions of fans who embraced it from the beginning. Few shows on television have drawn such dedicated fans as ‘The X-Files’ and we’re ecstatic to give them the next thrilling chapter of Mulder and Scully they’ve been waiting for.

The X-Files begins production this summer with a release and title to be announced in the coming months.

All the Apple Watch Information You Need

All the Apple Watch Information You Need

Apple Watch technology wearable information.
Apple announces Apple Watch technology wearable. Here's all the info you need to know.

Apple CEO Tim Cook took to the stage in sunny California on Monday to give more details on the previously announced Apple Watch. The Apple Watch comes in 3 different models: Apple Watch Sport, Apple Watch and Apple Watch Edition.

Nearly three years ago, rumors began circulating that Apple was working on a watch, which the media and fans had dubbed the iWatch. Quickly, companies like Samsung and Google jumped on the leaked early specs to beat Apple to the punch. They failed miserably. In the the year and a half since their release, less than a million smart watches have been sold. This doesn't include things like Jawbone, Pebble or FitBit, which aren't really watches at all.

In the Fall of 2014, Tim Cook finally announced the Apple Watch. Six months later, we have all the details, pricing information, options and accessories you could possibly want before the pre-order date of April 10, 2015 and the release on April 24, 2015.

REVIEW - Madonna, Rebel Heart (Full Album)

REVIEW - Madonna, Rebel Heart (Full Album Track by Track)

Album Review - Madonna, Rebel Heart

By now you've definitely heard the story. Madonna's 13th album, which she had been working on and teasing us about over the last year, was leaked. The 13 songs were demo versions Madonna had recorded and many of them weren't to make the final album, then called Iconic. But they were leaked anyway to insanely huge news headlines around the world. Only a few weeks later, entire photo shoots, videos and over 30 songs were leaked.

The original plan was to release the first single, Living for Love, on Valentine's Day, followed by the video, with the album coming out in March. The leak of the demos of Iconic changed all that. The Madonna camp jumped into gear and finalized six songs, rushing them for release on iTunes in December where they went on to dominate iTunes Top 10 lists in more than 50 countries. The album, retitled Rebel Heart, was officially announced with six more songs released after her ratings busting performance at the Grammy's in February. The final 7 tracks of the Rebel Heart album being released today March 10, 2015.
