Madonna Accepts Billboard Award For Top Tour

The MDNA Tour, the worldwide extravaganza by the living legend Madonna, reached 2.2 MILLION fans in only 88 shows & grossed over $305 MILLION in ticket sales alone. (It also featured the amazing Monte Pittman on guitar - BUY HIS ALBUM!!!.) In fact, it is the second highest grossing tour by a female EVER...guess who's #1? Yep, Madonna with her last tour, the Sticky & Sweet Tour.

Disney's Animates New Star Wars Rebels

Disney is dead serious about their multi-billion dollar Lucasfilm purchase. First, the announcement of a new Star Wars trilogy, then the announcement of yearly films. Today, they've announced an animated addition to the Star Wars franchise. Star Wars Rebels will take place during the time frame of Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith & Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope.
Disney states:

"Star Wars Rebels takes place in a time where the Empire is securing its grip on the galaxy and hunting down the last of the Jedi Knights as a fledgling rebellion against the Empire is taking shape."

Much of the creative team of the now cancelled Star Wars: The Clone Wars will join the Star Wars Rebels efforts. The 1 hour pilot will premiere in the Fall of 2014 on Disney Channel before moving to Disney XD.

This Sunday, May 5th will be QUITE the night of powerfully moving TV on OWN: The Oprah Winfrey Network. First up at 8pm eastern is Oprah's Next Chapter with Jason Collins, his identical twin and their parents. If you've been living under a rock, Jason Collins is the first openly gay professional athlete to come out while still playing. He is a true hero. Mother O sits down and talks to him and his family in this exclusive.

Next up is a 2 hour special event, Oprah's Lifeclass presents: Fatherless Sons. Our, uh, own (sorry) Kyle Mac (aka K.Mac Music) will be a guest speaking about growing up without his biological father.

Oprah To Interview Whitney Houston's Family

Oprah has nailed the interview everyone has wanted since the tragic passing of Whitney Houston. Mother O will come down from the heavens to sit down for a conversation with Whitney's family, including her daughter Bobbi Kristina for a new episode of Oprah's Next Chapter. This will be a highly watched interview, especially considering it will be the first time the family is talking. Oprah will, as always, do it in the most graceful way possible, but we know she's not one to hold back the tough questions.
