Way cool
Fox show "
24
" will be ending it's series run at the end of this season. After crew and actors from the show tweeted the news Thursday, Fox officially
announced it's cancellation Friday. Due to it's high budget and gradually decreasing ratings, Fox felt the time was now. After debuting in 2001 to mediocre ratings, the release of the
season on DVD
helped people catch up with all the buzz, which led to increasing ratings in further seasons. The show was a critical success, nominated for 68 Emmys, winning in 2006 for Outstanding Drama & Best Lead Actor.

Kiefer Sutherland
said: "This has been the role of a lifetime, and I will never be able to fully express my appreciation to everyone who made it possible," Sutherland said. "But when all is said and done, it is the loyal worldwide fan base that made it possible for me to have the experience of playing the role of Jack Bauer, and for that I am eternally grateful."
Jack Bauer Kiefer Sutherland is saying that a movie will be released in the next couple of years, albeit without the real time feeling of the show. The script is already being worked on and will take it's star to Europe.
