Ghost Whisperer Dead...Again

Sad news Ghost Whisperer Whores! Remember when we told you last week that ABC was picking up CBS mini-hit Ghost Whisperer? ABC has ultimately decided to pass on bringing it back for a sixth season. Unfortunately, the last episode you've seen will truly be the last. Jennifer Love Hewitt will have to move on to greener pastures. I feel for you all though, because I know how much it sucks to not have your show resolved.

Are YOU going to miss Ghost Whisperer?

Actor Dennis Hopper Passes Away

World famous actor Dennis Hopper, 74, has passed away from complications with colon cancer. Hopper was arguably best known for his directing and star turn in one of the greatest movies of all time, Easy Rider. With a 50 year career, Hopper has certainly made his mark on cinema. He will be missed.

R.I.P.

Bret Michaels Tells Crowd Hes New Idol Judge

Oh former Poison front-man Rock Of Love star Bret Michaels. After his performance on the American Idol finale, Bret took to the stage on a stop on his tour and said "I can't say this is true yet, cause I don't know. Next year they asked me to possibly be the judge on American Idol."

First of all, how could you say you don't know, and then proceed to say what you presumably don't know? Secondly, if they replaced Simon Cowell with Bret Michaels, The Whore would abruptly tune off the show for good. Third, you were just released from the freakin hospital, maybe this all happened in your head as you were on all kinds of meds?

What do YOU think about this "news"?

Professor X Is Cast For X-Men: First Class

Fox has found their Professor X. James McAvoy has been cast to play Charles Xavier in the upcoming X-Men: First Class film. It is not yet known whether he will have to shave his head or will keep his hair for the role. The film, which starts shooting this summer, will follow young Xavier and Erik Lensherr as they realize the powers they possess, yet grow to become mortal enemies. While Lensherr becomes Magneto, Xavier becomes Professor X and creates the superhero team known as X-Men. The film is scheduled for a June 3 2011 release date.

50 Cent Loses 54 Pounds For Film

The normally ripped Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson has shed 54 pounds for a new film role. Fifty  Fiddy 50 plays a cancer ridden athlete in Things Fall Apart, an upcoming film. In preparation, 50 stuck to an all liquid diet and worked out 3 hours a day.  The film, being directed by Mario Van Peebles will also star Ray Liotta.

The Whore TOTALLY hopes this is worth if for 50. Mario Van Peebles is pretty D-List.

American Idol Finale Nets 24 Million Viewers

Last night, 24 million people tuned in to Fox to see who be crowned the next American Idol. While these are huge numbers, it is the lowest rated Idol finale since the Season 1 finale drew 22 million viewers in 2002. It is a far cry from the 37 million people that tuned in for the Season 5 finale when Taylor Hicks beat out Katherine McPhee. While American Idol is still, by far, the number 1 show on television, it saw a small ratings decline of 8% this season. The fact that, in Season 9, it is still drawing huge numbers, and is still the #1 show on television is a huge feat.

The Whore thinks it simply comes down to the horrible boring contestants this year. They need to have MUCH better and MUCH more interesting contestants next year. Do YOU agree?

Glee Gets 3rd Season Green Light

We're not even finished with Season 1 & Fox has already given Glee the go ahead for Seasons 2 AND 3! In its first season, Glee is the #1 new scripted series in ages 18-49 and is averaging about 10 million viewers. The Madonna episode helped spur the show into a whole new stratosphere with appearances on Oprah and the cover of Rolling Stone. This also gives creator Ryan Murphy and his writers a clearer perspective of the storylines. Murphy released a statement saying "It’s been a whirlwind year – from shooting the pilot to performing at the White House to the concert tour that began last week – and yet we all feel like we’ve just begun this amazing musical journey. We think our Gleeks worldwide are going to love what we’ll have in store for them in seasons two and three.”

This is great news for us Gleeks! Congrats to the cast and crew of such an unbelievably entertaining show!

Walmart Slashes iPhone 3GS To $97

Walmart has slashed the price of a 16GB Apple iPhone 3GS to $97 with a 2 year AT&T contract. You know what that means, fellow Apple Whores! The new iPhone will be coming VERY soon! In fact, our leader Steve Jobs will be giving the keynote address at the June 7th start of WWDC. Traditionally, that has been the place where the next iPhone has been announced. Oh and of course AT&T employees have been blocked from taking any vacation in all of June! Oh and of course those leaked pics of the new 4th gen iPhone.

Only a week Apple Whores, only a week!

Will YOU be waiting in line for the new iPhone?

Paula Abdul Returns To TV

Start the party! TV's beloved Paula Abdul will be returning to television. Paula will executive produce and be the lead judge and mentor on Got To Dance, an all ages, all genres dance competition culled from the UK. CBS has picked up the show with an early 2011 start.

Unfortunately, this also means, presumably, Paula won't be a judge on Simon Cowell's US version of The X-Factor. The Whore still loves him some Paula, though.

Will YOU be catching Paula's new show?

Ghost Whisperer Not Dead, ABC Will Revive

Fear not, Jennifer Love Hewitt Whores! ABC has agreed to pick up the cancelled CBS drama Ghost Whisperer. The show, which just wrapped up it's 5th season, has been a relatively strong show for CBS on Friday nights. While the show was averaging about 10 million viewers, this past season saw the ratings fall to about 8 million. Not huge, but nothing to snuff at for a Friday night.

Are YOU happy that Ghost Whisperer has been revived or do you think it should be left for dead?

24 Series Finale Goes Out With A Whimper

This is kind of sad. One of The Whore's favorite shows of all time, 24, aired it series finale last night on Fox. The ratings are in and an estimated 8.9 million viewers tuned in to watch Jack Bauer in action one last time (on the small screen). This is down significantly from its Season 5 heyday of 14 million viewers, and is in line with Season 1's ratings. There is still talk of a spin-off movie, which could launch a franchise if successful.

The good news is that Amazon is having a sale on the first 7 seasons of 24! Season 7 is only $19.99! You can also pre-order the final season for only $38.99! Viva La Jack Bauer!

Did you tune in to the series finale of 24?

Lost Finale Brings In The Ratings

Lost: The Complete Sixth And Final Season

First of all, all The Whore can say about that finale is "WOW"! Secondly, the ratings are in and the 2 & a half hour Lost finale really brought in the viewers! 13.1 million people watched "The End", the conclusion to six year journey. As Lost is a heavily DVR'd and digital downloaded show, it will only go up when those numbers are counted. This is not only a ratings high for Lost, but brings it back to its ratings heyday of Season 1.

The pre-order for the sixth and final season is now up on Amazon. What did YOU think of the ending? Was it all you wanted it to be or are you disappointed?

Shrek 4 Brings $20 Million On Friday

Shrek Forever After brought in $20 million on Friday and is now tracking for a $70 million weekend. While that's no small change in any sense of the word, it is far below original expectations ($100 million weekend) and even further below the $122 million Shrek The Third took in it's first weekend. After the horrendous reviews of the previous film, and now this, it looks like it's time to wind down the Shrek films. They can still have a franchise through the planned Puss In Boots film, as well as the tv specials, but the Shrek films themselves should be put to rest.

The Whore found the third movie extremely boring, completely devoid in the creativity that brought the first two to amazing film status, and outdated by the second week it was out. Are YOU going to be seeing Shrek Forever After or are you going to poke your eyes out with a shrimp fork instead?

Cher To Go Back On Tour?

The Very Best Of Cher

Pop legend & all around amazing icon Cher may be headed back out on the road. While promoting her upcoming movie Burlesque, Cher sat down and talked with Extra. When asked about a possible tour, Cher tells Extra "I keep hoping 'Burlesque' is a hit so I'll have two new numbers to do....Well it's kind of a yes. I guess it's almost a yes, but it's not quite a yes."

PLEASE DO IT! The Whore loves you!

What do YOU think about Cher touring again? Is Cher turning back time or does she still have it?
