Piers Morgan Will Replace Larry King

It's official. Piers Morgan will be replacing Larry King on CNN's Live! Morgan will continue judging duties on America's Got Talent while hosting the talk show.

Kara DioGuardi Fired From Idol?

Uh oh.... Kara DioGuardi might not be a judge on the tenth season of American Idol. PerezHilton.com is reporting that insiders have revealed that Kara will be replaced in the judges shake up that already includes Ellen walking away. It also looks like the show will be reverting back to its three judge format.

The Whore is very confused and very pissed. First of all, Kara is a super successful songwriter who really came into her own last season as a valued judge. Her career can not be denied and it would be ashame to lose that aspect on the judges panel. Secondly, how are all of these people leaving the show when auditions have already started?

Ellen Quits American Idol

WTF is going on over there????? Ellen Degeneres released a statement today stating that she is leaving American Idol.

"A couple months ago, I let FOX and the "American Idol" producers know that this didn't feel like the right fit for me. I told them I wouldn't leave them in a bind and that I would hold off on doing anything until they were able to figure out where they wanted to take the panel next. It was a difficult decision to make, but my work schedule became more than I bargained for. I also realized this season that while I love discovering, supporting and nurturing young talent, it was hard for me to judge people and sometimes hurt their feelings. I loved the experience working on "Idol" and I am very grateful for the year I had. I am a huge fan of the show and will continue to be."

This is getting really crazy. First, news that Nigel Lythgoe may be returning as Executive Producer and possibly replacing Simon Cowell. Now this.... Ellen never really got a chance to shine, but she became more comfortable as the season progressed.

Elvis' Piano On The Auction Block

Well this is a hunka hunka burning news! A block of Elvis Presley memorabilia is going up for auction in Memphis Tennessee. The big attraction is The King's White Knabe grand piano, which is expected to fetch over $1 million.  Other items on the lot are his original RCA contract, a Graceland purchase agreement and a personal address book.

Spanish Golden Girls

Spanish speaking countries watch out - The Golden Girls is being remade with a "Latin American reversioning". Disney is resurrecting its 1980's tv classic for Latin countries, but will also distribute it in the US. The show, titled Los Anos Dorados, will maintain its Miami setting and still revolve around four 60+ aged friends living together. Disney also says the show will maintain the spirit of the original.

M. Night Shyamalan Goes Off On Reporter

One of The Whore's favorite directors, M. Night Shyamalan got very defensive over a question a reporter asked him at a Mexico press conference for The Last Airbender. She asked about the trajectory of his career and his answer was pretty bold. Watch below!

Darth Vader Robs A Bank

Well this is just...interesting....A man dressed as Darth Vader robbed a Chase bank in Long Island, New York yesterday. He even had a cape! At first, customers thought it was a joke, until Darth Vader pulled out a gun and demanded money. He then ran out of the bank and jumped on a hovercraft bike and got away. No Wookies were hurt.

White Apple iPhone 4 Delayed

Well this news just sucks! The white Apple iPhone 4 has been delayed until "later this year". Just last week, Our Lord & Savior Apple CEO Steve Jobs announced the white version would be shipping at the end of July. Today, Apple issued a press release stating that white models, "have continued to be more challenging to manufacture than we originally expected". The two sentence press release then says "The availability of the more popular iPhone 4 black models is not affected.". Um, Apple, if the black model is the only model that's available, it's going to be the "more popular" model. You know, BECAUSE IT'S THE ONLY COLOR AVAILABLE!

Sorry, The Whore has collected himself. He's not at all bitter that he had his heart set on a beautiful white iPhone 4 and had to settle for black instead. Not one bit.

Saw 3D Will Be The Last Saw Film

The producers of the Saw franchise have announced today that Saw 3D, the 7th film in the seven year old franchise, will be the last. After box office returns of almost $1 billion and almost 40 million DVDs & Blu-Rays sold, the October 29th release of Saw 3D will end the franchise. Producer Oren Koules says, "It's time to stop. We have told the story we wanted to tell, and this is going to be a great farewell." The film will feature 11 booby traps, double the amount featured in the previous films. The final film had to be re-edited and submitted multiple times to the MPAA to receive an R rating. Another Producer, Mark Burg says, "I'm surprised we got it. It's more violent than any of them. But it's in 3-D. It answers all the questions. It comes full circle. We have the goods on this one."

OK all this news and, er, buzz, has gotten The Whore VERY excited for this release!

Apple Releases iPhone 4 Free Case Program

Apple has announced the details of the iPhone 4 free case program.  If you're having reception issues with your shiny new iPhone 4, you can go to the App store now and download the "iPhone 4 Case Program" app to your phone. From there you will sign in with your iTunes ID and password and select one of the free cases, including the Apple Bumper. Then you'll be left in your parents basement playing World of Warcraft  waiting for 3 -5 weeks until your brand spankin new case arrives at your doorstep! Eminem Surprises Rihanna Fans At Concert

While ticket sales for Rihanna's Last Girl On Earth Tour have been so bad, multiple dates have been cancelled, one lucky city did get a bit of a surprise: Eminem. Eminem surprised concert goers attending the Los Angeles show by appearing to sing their single "Love The Way You Lie". Understandably, the crowd went wild.

The Hangover 2 Goes To Thailand

Well this should be made up of all kinds of awesome! The Hangover 2, the sequel to last summer's hilariously funny huge hit, is a go! The sequel finds the group of guys traveling to Thailand for a trip where, naturally, chaos and hilarity ensues! With a $35 million budget, The Hangover went on to gross over $277 million in US ticket sales alone. It was highly profitable, and so a sequel was a given. The overseas plot will give Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms and Zack Galifianakis plenty of misunderstandings and trouble.

Chris Isaak To Replace Simon On American Idol?

Well this is, um, interesting. Sorta weird sorta country artist Chris Isaak is apparently in preliminary talks to replace Simon Cowell for the 10th season of American Idol. The Hollywood Reporter is saying that Fox is looking to replace Simon with a well known music industry figure and Isaak has already met twice with producers. Bret Michaels has also been in talks with producers, as have Sean "Diddy" Combs and Quincy Jones.

The Whore thinks Diddy or Quincy Jones would be AMAZING replacements for Simon! But Chris Isaak? Really? What are YOUR thoughts?

New Taylor Swift Album Gets Release Date

White hot country star Taylor Swift will be releasing a new album in October. Speak Now will feature 14 songs written solely by Swift. Swift told fans through a web cam chat that the first single, Mine, is "about my tendency to run from love". Mine will be released in August with a video that was shot in Maine. Speak Now will be released October 25th.

The comic is a biographical comic showing the rise to fame of the 16 year old. The series "Fame" has chronicled Lady Gaga and Taylor Lautner in the past, and aims to reach a demographic that normally doesn't pick up comics.

Will Smith Injects Vampires Into Bible

Well this is uhhhhh....stupid  interesting. Will Smith has picked up the rights to and will star in and produce The Legend Of Cain. The film will portray the events in the epic Bible tale about two brothers and... some other stuff. Seems really boring to us! Oh, except I forgot to tell you this: THERE IS A VAMPIRE TWIST! WTF?

This is the weirdest thing The Whore has heard in quite some time. First of all, the story is like a page long. Secondly, randomly adding vampires? Where the hell did that come from? Might as well make Cain a Waffle House employee.
