Jersey Shore Season 4 Goes To Italy

Not surprisingly, MTV has renewed Jersey Shore for a 4th season. This time, our favorite dysfunctional group will be hitting Italy. Production starts this Spring and will air later this year. The third season has hit ridonkulous heights, peaking with 8.9 MILLION viewers a few weeks back.

The Dark Knight Rises Gets It's Catwoman

This is flippin AWESOME news, Bat-fans! It has been confirmed that for the third and final film in Christopher Nolan's amazing Batman trilogy, The Dark Knight Rises, has found it's villains - Catwoman and Bane. Anne Hathaway will play Selina Kyle /Catwoman, while Tom Hardy will play Bane. While The Whore was really hopping for The Riddler and Catwoman, at least we got half of what we wanted. Christopher Nolan is a cinematic genius who brought back art to one of the most iconic characters of all time. So we'll trust him with this.

The Dark Knight Rises hits theaters June 20, 2012.

Lost's Map Of Island Reveals Answers...Sorta

Lost Whores! The amazing website Geography Of Lost has meticulously crafted a map of our favorite forgotten island. They went through all 6 seasons again and again listening to dialog, taking notes on the direction characters were going, and doing some very snazzy legwork. The creators of the map spoke with EW:

"So much went into using the dialogue from the show to get geographic details. Sometimes it would take a group of people to get from point A to point B minutes on the show one time, then days the next time. Sometimes the camera shots would depict the water on different sides of a feature in the same scene. And some key locations were just impossible to map. “I didn’t place Jacob’s cabin simply because most of the time it was shown, it was in a different place.”

Bond 23 Gets Release Date

After officially having cancelled the 23rd James Bond flick, it is now happening! MGM, while still in serious financial trouble, is in negotiations to have another major studio pick up distribution duties.  Daniel Craig will return to the role of 007 for the 23rd installment of the series. While there is no title for the film yet, there is a release date: November 9, 2012.

Steve Jobs Takes Medical Leave From Apple

Oh noes! Our Lord & Savior Apple CEO Steve Jobs will be taking a medical leave of absence from Apple effective immediately. While Jobs will continue as CEO and make major strategic decisions for the company, he has handed over day to day duties to Tim Cook. The e-mail to staff announcing the change is:

Team,

At my request, the board of directors has granted me a medical leave of absence so I can focus on my health. I will continue as CEO and be involved in major strategic decisions for the company.

I have asked Tim Cook to be responsible for all of Apple’s day to day operations. I have great confidence that Tim and the rest of the executive management team will do a terrific job executing the exciting plans we have in place for 2011.

I love Apple so much and hope to be back as soon as I can. In the meantime, my family and I would deeply appreciate respect for our privacy.

Apple Has Sold 90 MILLION iPhones

WOWZERS! Analysts have released some news for all of you Apple Whores! Apple has sold almost 90 MILLION iPhones worldwide since its launch in 2007. That is a riDONKulous amount of product. Estimates are currently at 89.6 million phones, even before the Verizon launch. That number should continue to skyrocket once the iPhone hits Verizon next month.  That is MAJORLY impressive! And that's why we love Our Lord & Savior, Steve Jobs.

New Stevie Nicks Song "Secret Love"

Wow! She is absolutely amazing! Perez Hilton has the new goddess Stevie Nicks single, "Secret Love". It's been 10 YEARS since Trouble In Shangri-La, her whirlwind of an album - & her best since her debut solo album Bella Donna.

This song is a taste of what's to come, as Stevie has been working with 1/2 of the Eurythmics, mastermind Dave Stewart, on the album. The new album, In Your Dreams, will hit shelves May 3, 2011.

The ultimate diva, Cher has broken her own record - She is the only artist to have at least one #1 hit for each of the last 6 decades. When her latest single, You Haven't Seen The Last Of Me, from the Burlesque soundtrack hit #1 on Billboard's Dance Chart, it sealed the deal. She has now had a #1 hit in the 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's, 00's & 10's. WOWZERS!

Cat Summoned To Jury Duty

Oh poor Kitteh! Here's the deal. Last week, Anna and Guy Esposito received a summons for their cat, Sal Esposito, to report to jury duty. The Esposito's, living in Boston, had reported Sal as their cat, in the 2010 Census. Anna attempted to fix the issue by responding with the only choice that made sense on the disqualification of service request: "Does Not Speak English". Sal's request was denied. Anna told a local news station that if they can't this worked out, they will bring Sal in for jury duty in March! LOL! LOVES THAT!

1. It's sad that speaking English is not a requirement to serve for jury duty. 2. I wonder if Sal will have to wear a little suit? 3. SAL ESPOSITO IS A FAWKIN CAT!   

What Is Ultraviolet?

As you may know, The Whore is a huge movie buff. With over 2,500 DVD's and closing on 500 Blu-Rays, not including digital copies, I've built quite a collection. Regular Pop Culture Whore readers tell me all the time about their collections (maybe some day I'll highlight some of the really amazing ones).  So I know this will be of interest to many of you. In any event, you may have heard some rumblings about Ultraviolet. If you haven't, you will be hearing about it very soon.

Ultraviolet is a system in which you will have access to a movie you've purchased, virtually anywhere you have internet access. Lets use an example. Say you're buying The Social Network on Blu-Ray. You will have your physical Blu-Ray copy of the movie to watch on your player. But with Ultraviolet, you will get a "copy" to keep in a cloud locker. Then, whether you want to watch The Social Network on your iPad or your phone, you just point your devices browser to your cloud locker & watch your movie.

Vatican Doesnt Know About Vatican Exorcist Reality Show

Remember when we reported about The Exorcist Files? In case you missed it, Discovery announced they would be hooking up with Vatican exorcists for a reality show depicting the stories, and recreations of, actual exorcisms performed by the Vatican. Well now the Vatican has said that they have no idea WTF Discovery is talking about. Monsignor Paul Tighe of the Pontifical Council for Social Communications told Fox, "They (Discovery) may have had contact with some individual, but we've had no contact with Discovery here."  And making everything even more confusing, Discovery responded that they're, "working with Catholic priests at parishes all over the world for the show and look forward to telling their stories."  Ummm, huh?

In any event, with our without the Vatican, The Exorcist Files premieres this Spring and The Whore can't wait for it to start!

News On New Kelly Clarkson Album

Great news Pop Whores! THE ORIGINAL American Idol, Kelly Clarkson is prepping a new album! She told a fan on her Facebook that the album will be coming in March.

Thus far, there is no title for the album. News on the lead single should be announced within the next month or so. Can't wait!

First Set Of Grammy Performers Announced

The first Grammy performers have been announced for the 53rd Annual Grammy Awards. Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Eminem, Cee Lo Green, Miranda Lambert and Arcade Fire. Perez Hilton is reporting that Britney Spears will be performing as well.

OWN Has HUGE First Week

Well it's officially official. Oprah's OWN had a HUGE first week. The brand new network became the 25th most watched network on TV in it's very first week. With 18.5 million viewers and 2 million unique visitors to the OWN section of Oprah.com, the network is up 49% over Discovery Health, the network OWN replaced. The network averaged 505,000 viewers during primetime, and 239,000 during the day.

American Idol 2011 News & Schedule

It's almost here Idol whores! American Idol is starting Wednesday January 19th with Season 10! There are so many new changes that this new "refresh" (or "remix" as Randy Jackson calls it) should reinvigorate the franchise after the horribly boring debacle that was Season 9.  The schedule for the first few months has been released. Verizon iPhone Officially Announced

After YEARS of speculation and pages and pages devoted to the once mythical gadget, the Apple iPhone for Verizon has officially been announced. The iPhone will run on CDMA on Verizon's network, meaning you can not use data while making or receiving a call. You will be able to tether from your iPhone, turning it into a hot-spot to give 3G access to your laptop or other devices. Current Verizon customers can pre-order the iPhone starting February 3rd, while the phone will be released February 10th, 2011. Prices are $199 for the 16GB model and $299 for the 32GB model, both requiring a 2 year contract and data plan.

One word of warning. Though this was not mentioned, Apple does they're yearly iPhone refreshes in June, so potential customers may want to wait a few more months to get the latest and greatest from Our Lord & Savior Apple CEO / Mastermind Steve Jobs.

Hold It Against Me is the first single from the upcoming, as yet untitled, Britney Spears album, which will drop in March.

Verizon iPhone Plans Leaked

The voice and data plans for the upcoming Verizon Apple iPhone have been leaked. The announcement will most likely be happening tomorrow at a Verizon event. Of course, we'll have all the news on the release for you tomorrow, but in the meantime, check out the leaked Verizon iPhone Rate Plans. Notice that Verizon will give you unlimited Data in their data plan. Verizon will also allow you to choose 5 numbers to call which will not count against your minutes.

It actually looks like Verizon will be the cheaper option. Interesting...

Jersey Shore Brings HUGE Ratings

Wowzers! The third Season Premiere of Jersey Shore brought in 8.5 million viewers for the MTV series! That is absolutely INSANE numbers for a cable show. Let's put it this way, The Office, on NBC aired only an hour before Jersey Shore and brought in 4 million viewers.  It was definitely an episode worth watching as a new cast member was added, Sammi continued being a bitch, and there was an epic fight!

Holy Moses! The Vatican Gets A Reality Show

Well it seems that the Pope is a fan of Reality TV as The Vatican is teaming up with Discovery for a reality series. The series will be called "The Exorcist Files" and will tell the stories of actual exorcisms performed by the Church. Clark Bunting, President of Discovery told Entertainment Weekly, "The Vatican is an extraordinarily hard place to get access to, but we explained we're not going to try to tell people what to think. The work these folks do, and their conviction in their beliefs, make for some fascinating stories."

The Exorcist Files will debut in the Spring.

This actually sounds REALLY good! Can't wait!
