Gaga On Track For 1 Million In First Week Sales

Wowzers! Born This Way, the newest album from Lady Gaga is set to debut with 950,000 - 1 million copies sold in it's first week. That's absolutely crazy! This will be the biggest one week sales since Taylor Swift sold 1.4 million copies in October - prime holiday shopping time. Even more crazy - over 400,000 of those sales came from digital downloads, breaking the record held by Coldplay with 288,000 digital downloads.

Beyonce Steals YET AGAIN

We all know that Beyonce is nothing more than a decent singer, who steals credit for most everything she does. Nobody is surprised that Beyonce wasn't sitting down with a guitar hammering out chords for "Irreplaceable" (a finished track that was written by Ne-Yo and submitted completely finished to Beyonce, but Beyonce has a writing & producing credit on it). Or when she stole "Smack Into You" & changed "Smack" into "Smash" & took a writing & producing credit on it. In fact, she insists on taking songwriting credit on every song she records - even though she has no hand in writing them. AND INSISTS ON TAKING 20% OF THE PUBLISHING PROCEEDS! We know she's not an artist - she's a singer. So is it REALLY a surprise that her performance at the Billboard Music Awards was someone elses as well? Not to us. In fact, the only one believing the fantasy is Beyonce & her team. Thank god for the interwebz, as we can see Beyonce clearly stole almost the entire performance of Girls (Run The World) from Italian singer Lorella Cuccarini.

We LOVE LOVE LOVE Cee Lo Green & we were SUPER amazed by his amazing performance on the Billboard Music Awards last night. He did a medley of Crazy, Bright Lights Bigger City & Forget You. He took his magic flying piano for a "spin" last night & The Whore feels it was the best performance of the night!

First Promo For The X-Factor

As you already know, The X-Factor is heading to America this Fall on Fox, and The Whore is ultra super crazy excited! We're huge fans of the UK version of the show, and huge admirers of Simon Cowell (as a personality and a businessman). As HUGE of a fan The Whore is of American Idol, mark my words - The X-Factor will beat Idol's ratings. Yes, I said it. The X-Factor, in Season 1, will beat TV's #1 show of the last 10 years.

OMFG! This has The Whore all sorts of geeking out! The first image from The Dark Knight Rises, the third installment of the Christopher Nolan Batman franchise has been uncovered. It is a teaser shot of Tom Hardy as the villain Bane.

The Dark Knight Rises is currently filming and will be released to theaters July 20, 2012.

Google Announces Music Beta By Google

Today, Google announced a long awaited new product, which seems to be severely diminished from it's original intent. Originally, there were rumblings all around the net that Google had been working on a music service to take on industry leader iTunes, as well as other services like Amazon. What was announced, Music Beta by Google, is a cloud locker for your existing digital music collection. The service, which is invitation only right now, is currently free to use, and allows you to upload up to 20,000 songs to your cloud locker. Google Director Of Content Partnerships Zahavan Levine told Billboard, "We’ve been in negotiations with the industry for a different set of features, with mixed results. [But] a couple of major labels were less focused on innovation and more on demanding unreasonable and unsustainable business terms.”

Now, the service will simply allow you to stream your previously purchased tracks from your cloud locker to any web enabled device. Very much a disappointment. More importantly, The Whore is looking forward to Apple's rumored iTunes Cloud. Make it happen, Jobs!

Paula Abdul & Simon Cowell Reunite for The X-Factor

It's officially official now! Paula Abdul will be reuniting with Simon Cowell for Fox's The X-Factor. The judges panel has now been confirmed as: Simon Cowell, L.A. Reid, Cheryl Cole & Paula Abdul. Auditions in front of producers went down in April, and Sunday the live auditions started.

While there had been rumors that Paula would be joining the panel, the start of the show was getting closer and closer. In fact, the deal wasn't signed until the day of the first taping. Simon says he wouldn't have done it without Paula. Simon says it was the lawyers getting in the way:

"I would've canceled today (if deal hadn't gone through). The issue was that these conversations had gone on long enough. It's not like I sprung this on somebody. I just thought it's time for everyone to do their job and get the deal done. I couldn't have sat in front of you lot and said (Paula) wanted to do the deal and we couldn't. I could just sense that the public would've been disappointed without Paula. You see how we are; we get on really well."

The X-Factor is going to be huge! MARK! MY! WORDS!

Lady Gaga "Judas" Video Is Here!

The video for Lady Gaga's Judas, the second single off Born This Way, has arrived. Gaga herself directed the video, which portrays a corn row-ed, motorcycle riding Jesus. Still not totally in love with the song (as we have with EVERY other Gaga release), but the video is muy caliente! LOVES it!
